What is DBT?

Dialectical behavior therapy is an evidence based therapy that focuses on skill building and taking empowering action in real life.

 

In this 19- Week Group, Participants will :

  • Will increase understanding of trauma and PTSD symptoms and develop insight into how trauma-related patterns influence emotional regulation, behavior, and interpersonal functioning.

  • Learn and practice DBT skills, including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, crisis survival, and interpersonal effectiveness, to support management of PTSD symptoms.

  • Gain practical guidance on applying these skills in daily life, while identifying and working through barriers to effective skill use.

  • Experience connection, validation, and support within a community of peers who can relate in meaningful and diverse ways.
